For general use, the Acer Swift 14 offers great portability, has a touch-enabled display, and performs quite well, but if you're looking for a machine for more demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the Gigabyte Aero 5, with its higher-performance graphics card, is better suited, despite being heavier and having shorter battery life. The Aero 5 also has a larger, more vivid OLED screen, which is great for color-critical work; however, it lacks a touch screen. Both laptops are similarly priced, offer the same storage and RAM, and should handle most tasks comfortably. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 14 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aero 5 for software development, while the Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 14's panel type, resolution, and brightness deliver a vibrant and clear display that is satisfactory for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing, but its color range might not fully satisfy professional design needs and its lower refresh rate can detract from the smooth visuals required for gaming and 3D applications. The Gigabyte Aero 5, with its high-resolution and bright panel, offers an excellent visual experience for general use and its wide color gamut ensures colors are accurately represented for engineering and design professionals; however, like the Acer, its refresh rate is not ideal for the fast-paced action seen in gaming and 3D modeling. Essentially, both laptops serve well for general use and professional creative work but fall short for gaming enthusiasts due to their limited refresh rates, despite their varying strengths in color accuracy and display clarity.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the Gigabyte Aero 5 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
