Choosing between the Acer Swift 14 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 depends on what's important to you. If you prefer a lighter, more compact device for travel and long battery life, the Swift 14 stands out. It also offers higher screen resolution and better performance for general use and tasks like 3D rendering or engineering programs. However, it comes at a higher price. On the other hand, the Inspiron 16 5620 is less expensive, has a larger screen, and is quiet during operation, making it suited for budget-conscious users primarily doing general tasks, though with a tradeoff in portability and screen quality. Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."

Stuff

Brett Venter | January 2023
"If the world is exciting enough right now, you can do far worse than a solid performer that you know will get the job done. Our review model is as powerful as you'd want an office machine to be unless you're performing specialist tasks and the price point is pretty attractive (unless work will let you have a MacBook Air instead)."
