The Acer Swift 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Acer Swift 14's panel shines in general use and engineering tasks because of its sharp resolution and brightness coupled with strong color representation, making it easy on the eyes for reading and detailed for design work. However, it falls short for gaming and 3D, where its lower refresh rate can hinder smooth visuals important in fast-paced scenes. The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, while still providing a clear and vivid display for everyday and professional tasks, also lacks in the gaming department as the refresh rate isn't ideal for the quick motion handling gamers often need.

The Acer Swift 14 offers an impressive balance of performance with its Intel i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and high-resolution IPS screen in a lightweight and slim form, ideal for general use with good portability and battery life. Conversely, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, with its powerful AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, larger RAM of 32GB, and dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, provides a performance edge for more demanding tasks, although it is heavier and larger, making it less portable while still maintaining good battery life.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
