For a balance of performance and portability with a high-quality display, the Acer Swift 14 is a strong contender. It offers a more powerful processor and double the RAM compared to the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED, which translates to better multitasking capabilities and smoother handling of demanding software, making it suitable for engineering tasks. Additionally, its IPS screen with a higher resolution and touch functionality provides crisp visuals and interactive convenience. However, the Swift 14 is pricier and slightly heavier, which could be a drawback if budget and weight are your primary concerns.
On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED is a cost-effective option with an eye-catching OLED display that delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks, ideal for media consumption and general use. Despite having less RAM and a less powerful processor, it still offers decent performance for everyday tasks. It's also more budget-friendly and a bit lighter, making it a compelling choice for those who prioritize a stunning screen, portability, and cost savings over raw performance.
Consider the Acer Swift 14 if you need the extra power and don't mind the added cost and weight. Opt for the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED if you're looking for a more affordable laptop with a superior display for general use and entertainment. Give Feedback

How the Acer Swift 14 and the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
