If performance during engineering tasks or gaming is a priority, the ASUS TUF Dash 15 with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU will handle these activities better. However, it’s heavier and not as portable as the Acer Swift 14, which has an integrated Intel GPU and is lighter, making it more suitable for carrying around and general use. The Swift also has a higher resolution display with touch functionality, but the ASUS has a faster refresh rate which is preferable for gaming. The Acer has a longer battery life for extended use on the go, while the ASUS has a stronger build and heat management, which might be beneficial for heavier use. The cost of the Acer is higher, reflecting its more premium features, and the ASUS would be more budget-friendly while offering robust performance for demanding applications. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 14 is very good for general use, while the ASUS TUF Dash 15 is good.
The Acer Swift 14 excels in general use due to its combination of a powerful CPU, ample RAM, and a high-quality screen, which are very important for smooth multitasking and clear visuals; additionally, its lightweight design and long battery life make it highly portable for on-the-go use. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Dash 15, while also good for general use with a competent CPU and sufficient RAM, is less portable due to being heavier and offers a lower screen quality, but it gains an edge in tasks requiring more graphical power like gaming due to its dedicated graphics card.

The ASUS TUF Dash 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift 14 is only fair.
The Acer Swift 14, with its integrated graphics, may not match the ASUS TUF Dash 15 which boasts a higher-end Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, making the ASUS better for demanding gaming and 3D applications. However, the Swift 14 offers a higher resolution screen which might be preferable for everyday use and media consumption, although it may not be as smooth for fast-paced games as the ASUS with its lower screen refresh rate.

The Acer Swift 14 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Dash 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the ASUS TUF Dash 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
If you prioritize vibrant colors and detail for tasks like photo editing or CAD work, the Acer Swift 14's superior color gamut makes it ideal for engineering and design despite its static refresh rate which is a drawback for gaming and 3D applications. The ASUS TUF Dash 15, while having good color representation, may not match Acer's suitability for engineering and design applications but offers a balance between various uses. However, for immersive gaming experiences or 3D modeling, both laptops have a lower refresh rate which may not deliver the smooth visuals preferred in such scenarios.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the ASUS TUF Dash 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"The Asus TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR is a laptop with mobile RTX 3070 and acceptable battery life. The Asus TUF Dash F15 was made for high-performance applications like video editing, rendering, and gaming. The laptop can manage the latter in QHD resolution and at high to maximum settings. However, the focus isn't on maximum performance, but instead, it's about a compromise between performance and portability."
