If you prioritize battery life and a quiet, fanless operation for general use like web browsing or productivity tasks, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 with its longer battery life would be a suitable choice. Conversely, if you require more storage and RAM for demanding applications such as video editing or programming, the Acer Swift 14 equipped with a more powerful processor and better graphics could serve you better, despite its shorter battery life. Both are similarly priced and have good portability, but the MacBook's build quality and speaker quality are superior. Neither is suited for intensive gaming, so if that's important, you might want to consider other options. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 14 and Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 14, equipped with an Iris Xe GPU, is tuned for better gaming and 3D performance, while Apple's MacBook Pro 13 with its M2 GPU offers fair 3D performance but many popular games are not compatible with the macOS ecosystem. Despite having comparable screen refresh rates, the GPU plays a crucial role, and the abundance of games on the Windows platform of the Acer Swift 14 compared to the more limited gaming library on Macs is also a significant factor.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
