If you prioritize longer battery life and slightly better general performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, office work, or streaming, the Gigabyte A5 could serve you well while also being more affordable. However, if higher build quality, better heat management, and a more gaming-oriented design appeal to you, the Acer Predator Triton 300 would be the better choice, though it comes with a slightly higher price and less battery longevity. Both feature the same type of graphics card, making them capable of similar gaming and 3D rendering performance, and both have equally sized displays with the same resolution and refresh rate, but the Triton may offer a slightly better visual experience for color-related tasks. How the Acer Predator Triton 300 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"In our particular review configuration, the Acer Predator Triton 300 turned out to be a fairly powerful gaming notebook. Both CPU and GPU performance were at a high level, and the aluminum case turned out to be fairly robust. Only the display lid could have been a bit more robust. For customers on a budget that do not mind tinkering with the device’s fan management the Acer Predator Triton 300 can be worth a closer look."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
