The Acer Predator Triton 300 is typically much more expensive than the Gateway 15.6" but offers better performance for 3D tasks, machine learning, and gaming due to its Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card and higher refresh rate screen. However, it has a shorter battery life than the Gateway, which is also lighter and thus more portable, but at the sacrifice of some 3D and gaming performance due to its less powerful Intel Iris Xe graphics. Both have the same screen size and resolution, but the Acer's screen is brighter and offers a wider color range, making it better for tasks where color accuracy is important. The Gateway may be more cost-effective for general use and offers longer battery life, which can be a significant factor if portability and endurance are priorities. Give Feedback

The Acer Predator Triton 300 is good for gaming and AI, while the Gateway 15.6" is only fair.
The Acer Predator Triton 300 surpasses the Gateway 15.6" for gaming and 3D tasks primarily because it is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, which is significantly more powerful than the Gateway's Iris Xe graphics, and supports a 144Hz screen refresh rate offering smoother visuals compared to the Gateway's 60Hz display. Moreover, with a higher end CPU, the Triton's Intel i7 performs better than the Gateway's Intel i5 for demanding tasks, while both laptops have comparable IPS screens which influence general screen quality.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Predator Triton 300 offers a display that's vivid and sharp with high resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks, while its color range satisfies the needs of most engineering and design applications. However, it lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth rendering in gaming and 3D applications. On the other hand, the Gateway 15.6" provides an acceptable visual experience for both general use and engineering tasks due to its adequate resolution and fair color reproduction, but like the Triton, it falls short for gaming and 3D due to a lower refresh rate.

How the Acer Predator Triton 300 and the Gateway 15.6" compare to other laptops
"In our particular review configuration, the Acer Predator Triton 300 turned out to be a fairly powerful gaming notebook. Both CPU and GPU performance were at a high level, and the aluminum case turned out to be fairly robust. Only the display lid could have been a bit more robust. For customers on a budget that do not mind tinkering with the device’s fan management the Acer Predator Triton 300 can be worth a closer look."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
