For a balance of performance and price, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is a solid choice, especially if you're into gaming or engineering tasks, thanks to its powerful Intel processor and Nvidia GPU. It offers a high refresh rate screen, which is great for fast-paced gaming, and has a number pad on the keyboard, which is handy for data entry. However, it's heavier and thicker than the Samsung, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16, with its OLED display, provides exceptional color accuracy and brightness, making it ideal for content creation or consumption with its vibrant and true-to-life visuals. It's also more portable, lighter, and thinner, with a long battery life that's double the Acer's. The Samsung's touchscreen and 2-in-1 design add versatility, allowing you to switch between laptop and tablet modes. However, its Qualcomm processor might not match the raw power of the Acer's Intel chip for intensive tasks, and it lacks hardware ray tracing and DLSS, which could be a downside for certain types of gaming and rendering. Consider the Acer for its superior performance in demanding applications and gaming, but if you prioritize portability, battery life, and an outstanding display for general use and content consumption, the Samsung is the way to go. PCMag

Mark Knapp | August 2023
"The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 sacrifices portability and a truly budget price in the name of additional power. While remaining relatively budget-friendly, this gaming laptop packs serious processing chops, and Acer optimizes its internals to deliver respectable 1080p (or 1200p) gameplay from an RTX 4050. Its keyboard and chassis design won't win it any awards, but its display is a cut above for the price."
