The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 offers higher performance with a more powerful Intel processor and Nvidia graphics, making it suitable for intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D modeling, and machine learning. Expect to pay more for this performance, along with a high refresh rate display which is great for gaming. However, it is less portable due to its weight. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" has an AMD processor with integrated graphics, suited for general use and lighter tasks. It's often less expensive, has a larger screen, but a standard refresh rate display. The IdeaPad is also lighter, which increases portability, but at the expense of lower performance compared to the Acer. If affordability and basic tasks are your priority, go for the Lenovo; if performance in demanding applications is key, opt for the Acer. Give Feedback

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is better for engineering and design because it comes with a more powerful Intel CPU, double the RAM, a superior Nvidia GPU for demanding tasks, and a high-quality screen that is brighter and has a higher color coverage which is crucial for design accuracy. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" falls short for engineering use due to its less powerful AMD CPU and integrated GPU, lower RAM which might limit performance with complex tasks, and a screen with lower brightness and color coverage, although it is larger and more portable with a better score in that area.

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize screen quality for both general use and engineering, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" have the resolution and brightness to accommodate everyday tasks and detailed design work, providing clear and vivid images. Their displays also cover a good range of colors, essential for accurate rendering in fields like graphic design and engineering. However, if you're into gaming or working with 3D applications, the lower refresh rates on these laptops mean you won't get the smooth motion and fast response often desired for an optimal experience in those areas.

How the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 sacrifices portability and a truly budget price in the name of additional power. While remaining relatively budget-friendly, this gaming laptop packs serious processing chops, and Acer optimizes its internals to deliver respectable 1080p (or 1200p) gameplay from an RTX 4050. Its keyboard and chassis design won't win it any awards, but its display is a cut above for the price."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
