If you need a laptop with higher performance for gaming, intensive 3D work, or machine learning, the Acer Nitro 5 17 with its powerful graphics card will better suit your needs; however, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, being lighter and offering a higher resolution touchscreen with better battery life, makes for a more portable and versatile option for business and general use, but it may not handle intensive graphics work as well. Both are similarly priced, with the Nitro often being somewhat more expensive, and both have sufficient storage and memory for most tasks. Give Feedback

How the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
