Choose the Acer Nitro 5 17 if you prioritize a larger screen, a higher refresh rate for smoother visuals, and value for money, as it is less expensive than the Razer Blade 14. On the other hand, the Razer Blade 14 is more portable due to its smaller size and weighs less, and it has longer battery life, making it suitable for on-the-go use. For demanding tasks like gaming, 3D modeling, or engineering, both laptops are equipped with powerful processors and high-end graphics but the Razer has a higher resolution display. If you often work in creative applications that require high color accuracy, the Razer's display covers a wider color gamut. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | August 2021
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | May 2022
"After making a huge splash with the original 2021 model, it's expected that the 2022 refresh would be more of a minor update to an already impressive machine. It adds a higher resolution webcam (720p to 1080p), faster CPU (Ryzen 9 5900HX to Ryzen 9 6900HX), faster GPU (RTX 3070/3080 to 3070/3080 Ti), faster RAM (DDR4-3200 to DDR5-4800), faster M.2 SSD support (PCIe3 x4 to PCIe4 x4), newer WLAN module (Killer AX1690i to Qualcomm WCN685x), and a MUX switch for the new integrated Radeon 680M GPU. It's indubitably an upgrade especially in terms of single-thread processor performance."
