When deciding between the Acer Nitro 5 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13, consider how you'll be using the laptop. The Acer Nitro 5 offers stronger performance suitable for gaming and intensive tasks but is larger and heavier, making it less portable. The ThinkPad X13, while more affordable and lighter for easy travel, might not handle demanding applications as well. If long battery life and carrying your laptop around is crucial, the ThinkPad could serve you better, whereas if you're focused on high-performance tasks and don't mind the extra weight and cost, the Acer Nitro 5 would be a better fit. The Acer Nitro 5 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The Acer Nitro 5 17's screen provides clear and vibrant visuals suitable for daily tasks and professional engineering design due to its resolution, brightness, and color reproduction, yet its lower refresh rate makes fast-paced gaming and 3D rendering less smooth. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 similarly offers a display that favors detail and color accuracy needed for general computing and design work, with an emphasis on portability. However, gamers and 3D artists may find its refresh rate inadequate for the fluid motion and responsiveness they require in their specialized software.

How the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."
"The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G4 has very good input devices, a wide array of security features and ports as well as 5G in the tested configuration. It is more compact and lightweight compared with its predecessor, and it has improved speakers and a slightly better webcam. On the other hand, the fan is more annoying and the performance is barely improved. The battery is worse as well, but this is primarily attributable to the OLED screen - if this aspect is important, buyers should choose the IPS Low Power LCD."
