Between the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15", consider the following: The Acer offers a larger 17.3-inch display but is bulkier and heavier, making it less portable. It features a high-end graphics card which excels in gaming and 3D applications. On the other hand, the Lenovo has a smaller, more portable 15.6-inch display with a higher resolution, which provides sharper visuals and may be better for tasks that require finer detail, such as photo editing. Its graphics card is capable but may not match the peak performance of the Acer's for the most demanding games or tasks. Both have ample storage and memory for general use, but the Lenovo's operating system is more recent. Consider the size and performance that aligns with your needs: if mobility and detail are priorities, the Lenovo could suit you, while the Acer is tailored for heavy-duty performance albeit with less portability. How the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
