For gaming or engineering tasks, the Acer Nitro 5 17, with a dedicated graphics card, higher RAM, and a more powerful processor, will provide better performance, but it's heavier and has shorter battery life, so it's less portable. The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14, on the other hand, offers a high-resolution OLED display with superior color accuracy, which is great for creative work or watching videos, and it's more lightweight with better battery life, making it ideal for carrying around. If gaming or high-performance tasks are less of a priority and portability with a better screen is more important, then the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is a good choice. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | August 2021
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | July 2022
"The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is a Pantone Validated laptop that packs a lot of processing power. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED's highlight is its outstanding display: Featuring a 3K resolution in the 16:10 format and nearly a 100% coverage of the Display P3 color space, the display hardly leaves anything to be desired. The Asus laptop also shows impeccable rates in terms of general system performance. Combined with long battery life, low noise emissions, and relatively good speakers, the laptop can be recommended to users who can accept compromises in terms of connectivity."
