The Acer Nitro 5 17, at a lower midrange price, offers a larger screen and higher refresh rate, which is ideal for intensive gaming and fast motion activities. With a powerful AMD processor and high-end Nvidia graphics, it excels in 3D and engineering performances but is heavier and has a shorter battery life. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 16X, with a slightly higher price, has a smaller screen with a higher resolution and aspect ratio. It stands out for screen color accuracy and is lighter, making it more portable with longer battery life. It also has a newer Intel processor and a mid-range Nvidia graphics card, but it might not handle intensive gaming or 3D tasks as efficiently as the Acer. Choose the Acer for gaming and performance-driven tasks, and the ASUS for portability and screen quality. Give Feedback

The Acer Nitro 5 17 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16X for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, you'll appreciate the Acer Nitro 5 17 and ASUS Vivobook 16X for their clear and bright displays with good resolution, providing a comfortable and crisp viewing experience for daily tasks. When diving into engineering and design, both laptops deliver a range of colors that'll be satisfactory, though they don't cover the wider color gamuts professionals may require for utmost precision. However, gamers and 3D designers might find these models lacking due to their lower refresh rate, which means less smoothness in fast-paced games and animations compared to laptops tailored for those specific needs.

How the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
