The Acer Nitro 17 is a midrange laptop that combines solid gaming and general use capabilities. Its large 17.3-inch, high-resolution display with a high refresh rate is ideal for immersive gaming and detailed work, although it may affect portability due to size and weight. It's powered by an AMD Ryzen processor paired with an Nvidia RTX GPU, ensuring good performance in tasks such as 3D rendering and machine learning. Good quality speakers and a backlit keyboard with a number pad enhance multimedia and late-night use, and it has a variety of ports including USB-C. However, its bigger size and gaming-focused design make it less portable than smaller, lighter laptops. Battery life is typically around 6 hours, which is decent but may require carrying a charger for longer days. Suitable for intensive gaming and demanding tasks, the Acer Nitro 17 can also suffice for engineering work, but it sacrifices portability for power and screen estate. Give Feedback

PCMag

Mark Knapp | October 2023
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."
