Let's consider their uses. The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is generally more budget-friendly and suitable for everyday tasks like web browsing, office work, and media consumption, with an eco-friendly design made partially from recycled materials. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is aimed at gamers and can handle more demanding applications such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and modern games thanks to its higher performance hardware. If cost is a major concern and your tasks are not intensive, the Acer might suit you well. However, if you regularly engage in performance-heavy activities and can invest more, the Lenovo would be a better fit despite being less portable and likely having shorter battery life due to its power requirements. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is less suitable for gaming and 3D applications due to its integrated GPU, which is less powerful than dedicated gaming GPUs, and a standard screen refresh rate, limiting game smoothness and detail. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" boasts a superior Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU which handles demanding graphics better, and a high refresh rate screen, enabling clearer and more fluid visuals, making it more adept for gaming and 3D tasks.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is superior for engineering and design due to its more powerful AMD processor and Nvidia graphics, which provide faster performance than the Intel CPU and integrated graphics in the Acer Aspire Vero 15; plus, the Lenovo's higher resolution display is beneficial for detail-oriented tasks. The Acer Aspire Vero 15, while lighter and thus more portable, offers less processing power and a lower-resolution screen, which may suffice for less demanding engineering applications but won't match the Lenovo's performance and screen quality.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers a display with higher resolution and brightness compared to the Acer Aspire Vero, making for a more vivid and clear viewing experience. In engineering and design, the Legion 5 provides wider color coverage, which ensures more accurate color representation necessary for detailed work. When it comes to 3D, the Acer falls short as both have lower refresh rates, but the Legion's superior resolution and panel quality slightly offset that limitation for non-gaming 3D applications.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
