If you prioritize high performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or modern gaming, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, with a potent CPU and GPU, is the better choice, though it comes at a higher price and is less portable due to its size and weight. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is more affordable, offers decent performance for general use, has a higher portability score, making it easy to carry around, but it is not suitable for intensive gaming or high-demand engineering tasks. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and 3D applications because it features a high-performance Nvidia RTX 4080 graphics card and a screen with an extremely high refresh rate, enhancing visual fluidity and responsiveness in fast-paced scenes. In comparison, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is fair for gaming due to its standard Intel Iris Xe graphics and a typical screen refresh rate, which are adequate for casual gaming but less capable for intense graphic demands.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 delivers a display that's adequate in resolution and brightness, which are essential for tasks like browsing and video streaming, but it lacks the superior crispness and illumination that the Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers. When it comes to engineering and design work, the Aorus 17H's display provides wider color coverage, crucial for accurately rendering designs, something the Aspire Vero's screen can't match. However, for 3D applications and gaming, despite the Aorus 17H having a higher quality display, both laptops fall short because they do not offer the high refresh rates required for smooth motion rendering.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
