The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P outshines the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for engineering and design due to its more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and superior GPU, which significantly enhance performance for demanding tasks and provide better screen refresh rates which aid in smoother visuals. While the Acer is lighter and thus more portable, has a quieter operation, and a slightly longer battery life, the Gigabyte's better-quality screen, additional RAM, and high-end GPU are essential for more intense applications such as 3D rendering, complex simulations, or machine learning tasks.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 provides a satisfactory visual experience with decent clarity and luminance suitable for daily tasks, whereas the Gigabyte Aorus 15P offers a bright, high-resolution display that makes for sharper and more enjoyable viewing. When considering engineering and design work, the Acer’s color range is acceptable, but the Gigabyte Aorus 15P's wider color gamut ensures more accurate color reproduction, which is crucial for professional design applications. How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15P compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
