The Acer Aspire Vero 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15X are similarly priced, but the Acer has double the RAM for better multitasking and potentially smoother performance in more demanding tasks. It has an Intel processor with integrated graphics, while the ASUS has an AMD processor with its own integrated graphics; both are suitable for general use and some 3D tasks, but not for intensive gaming. The ASUS has a slight edge in battery life, but both are not particularly standout in this area. If you prioritize better multitasking and performance in intensive tasks such as engineering and 3D applications, the Acer might be the better choice, whereas the ASUS is slightly more travel-friendly thanks to its marginally lighter weight and a bit better battery life. Neither is ideal for high-end gaming or highly demanding machine learning tasks. Both have a full HD screen and a backlit keyboard, but the ASUS has a slightly better keyboard and portability assessments. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for software development.
When considering general use, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 15X may have screens with adequate resolution and brightness, but they may not use the highest quality panels, which could affect viewing angles and color accuracy. For engineering and design, while both laptops provide fair screen quality, they may not cover the wider color gamuts needed for precision work, meaning colors might not be as vibrant or accurate as specialized screens. For gaming and 3D tasks, the lower refresh rates on these laptops will not be as smooth for fast-moving visuals, and while their resolution and panel types are decent, they won't match the high-performance screens built for those specific purposes.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15X are both good for general use.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is considered good for general use due to its powerful CPU, ample RAM for multitasking, and a high-quality screen, backed by a fair battery life and reasonable portability. Meanwhile, the ASUS Vivobook 15X, falls into a fair category for general use because it has a less robust CPU, less RAM which could limit performance with multiple open applications, and though it has a slightly better battery life, it still offers a good screen and adequate portability.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15X are both only fair for engineering and design.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is better suited for engineering and design due to its more powerful Intel i7 CPU and Iris Xe GPU, along with a higher RAM capacity which is crucial for demanding applications, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X, with a less powerful AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and integrated Vega 7 graphics, and lower RAM, may struggle with more intensive tasks. Even though the Vivobook is slightly lighter and therefore more portable, the Aspire Vero offers higher screen quality and better performance for professional use, which often outweighs portability in engineering and design scenarios.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 15X compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
