The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is priced higher and typically offers better performance with its higher tier processor, more RAM, and larger storage. This may make it a better choice for more intense tasks such as engineering or multitasking. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 15 is more affordable, but with a lower tier processor, less RAM, and smaller storage, it may be better suited for general use rather than performance-intensive applications. Both have similar battery capacities and weights, making them comparably portable, but the Acer's slightly better battery life could be a small advantage for users needing longer unplugged use. Neither is suitable for intensive gaming, but for different tasks ranging from everyday activities to more demanding work, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 generally offers better performance while the ASUS Vivobook 15 may appeal more to those on a tighter budget. The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers a higher performance Intel i7 processor and more RAM than the ASUS Vivobook 15, which has an Intel i3 processor and less RAM, making the Aspire Vero more responsive and better for multitasking, while the Vivobook may lag behind in demanding tasks. Although both have IPS screens with the same resolution and size, the Aspire Vero has a better contrast ratio and higher screen brightness, providing a more vivid and clearer display than the fair screen quality of the Vivobook; additionally, the Aspire Vero's larger battery capacity suggests better battery life compared to the Vivobook.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15 are both only fair for engineering and design, though the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is somewhat better.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers more robust performance for engineering and design work due to its higher-tier Intel i7 processor, double the memory, and a more powerful integrated graphics chip compared to the ASUS Vivobook 15, which comes with a lower-tier Intel i3 processor, less memory, and a basic graphics solution. Although both laptops have similar screen quality, the Acer's superior processing and graphical capabilities make it more suited to demanding engineering software and design tasks.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and ASUS Vivobook 15 offer screens that are adequate, as their resolution and brightness are suitable for tasks like browsing the web and streaming videos. In the case of engineering and design work, while their screens are acceptable, these laptops may not fully satisfy professionals due to limited color accuracy as they don't cover advanced color gamuts such as DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. When it comes to gaming and 3D work, the screen quality falls short primarily because of the lower refresh rates that can affect smooth motion, and while the resolution and panel type are decent, they aren't enough to compensate for the lack of a high refresh rate.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Acer Aspire Vero 15 to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 has a more powerful GPU with Intel Iris Xe graphics and a higher-end CPU, making it better suited for gaming and 3D tasks than the ASUS Vivobook 15, which only has Intel UHD Graphics and a lower-tier CPU. However, both laptops have similar screen refresh rates and quality, which don't fully optimize gaming and 3D performance, hence their fair assessments.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 15 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
