For general use, the Acer Aspire Go 14 offers a sharper screen with a higher pixel density and better color accuracy, which is great for everyday tasks and media consumption. It's also more compact and lightweight, making it a better choice if you prioritize portability. However, its performance is more suited for basic tasks, and it lacks the number pad that some users might miss for data entry.
On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" provides a larger screen with a more traditional aspect ratio, which can be beneficial for multitasking and offers a more immersive experience. It has a more powerful processor and integrated graphics, which will handle more demanding applications better than the Acer. The inclusion of a number pad and a larger chassis might make it less portable but could be a deciding factor for those who do a lot of number-crunching or prefer a larger workspace. Its battery life is also comparable, despite the larger screen.
If you need a laptop for more intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, neither of these laptops will excel due to their mid-range processors and lack of dedicated gaming GPUs. However, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" will offer better performance in these areas due to its more powerful CPU with integrated graphics.
In summary, choose the Acer for portability and a superior screen for general use, or opt for the Lenovo if you want a larger screen, more processing power, and a number pad for productivity tasks. Give Feedback

How the Acer Aspire Go 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
