The Acer Aspire Go 14 is a budget-friendly option with a lower price point, making it a good choice if you're looking to save money. It offers decent performance for everyday tasks with its AMD Ryzen 3 processor and 8GB of RAM, and the 14-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 is suitable for general use. However, its AMD Radeon 610M GPU won't be powerful enough for intensive gaming or demanding graphics tasks. The battery life is quite good, offering around 9 hours of typical usage, and it's highly portable due to its lightweight design. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus, while more expensive, provides significantly more power with its Intel i7-12700H processor and 16GB of RAM, which is ideal for multitasking and more demanding applications, including light engineering work. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics are a step up from the Acer's GPU, offering better performance for gaming and creative work. The display has a higher resolution of 2240 x 1400, which is great for detailed visuals, though the 60Hz refresh rate is standard. The Dell also has a more comprehensive port selection, including Thunderbolt 4 and USB4, and features a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader for added convenience. Its battery life is shorter at around 6 hours, and it's slightly heavier, but it still maintains good portability for a performance-focused laptop. In summary, if you prioritize budget and general productivity tasks, the Acer Aspire Go 14 is a solid choice. However, if you need more processing power, better graphics performance, and are willing to pay more and sacrifice some battery life, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is the better option. Give Feedback

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
