For general use, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 offers better performance due to its more powerful processor and double the RAM, making multitasking smoother. However, it comes at a higher price point. If you're on a budget and need a laptop for everyday tasks like web browsing and office applications, the Acer Aspire Go 14 is a cost-effective choice. When it comes to battery life, the Acer Aspire Go 14 has a longer battery life, which is great for users who are often on the move and need their laptop to last throughout the day. The Dell, while having a shorter battery life, provides a better display with similar resolution but potentially more accurate color reproduction, which is beneficial for users who value screen quality for tasks like photo editing. For gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is the clear winner with its superior GPU integrated into the AMD Ryzen 7 processor, offering better graphics performance than the Acer's AMD Radeon 610M. The Dell also has a slight edge in engineering tasks due to its more robust CPU and additional RAM. In terms of portability, the Acer is slightly lighter and thinner, making it more convenient to carry around. Both laptops have a similar footprint, so they'll fit into your bag with ease. The Dell, however, offers an extra USB-C port, which can be handy for connecting additional devices without the need for a dongle. Ultimately, if you need a laptop for intensive tasks like gaming or engineering work and can afford the higher price, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is the better choice. On the other hand, if you prioritize battery life, portability, and value for money for general use, the Acer Aspire Go 14 is the way to go. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | August 2022
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
