For general use, the Acer Aspire Go 14 offers better value with a higher resolution screen and similar performance to the ASUS Vivobook Go 14, which is beneficial for everyday tasks like web browsing and office applications. However, if you're looking for more storage right out of the box, the ASUS with its 256GB might be more suitable without the need for immediate upgrades. Both laptops have similar battery life, but the Acer is slightly heavier, which could impact portability if you're often on the move. Neither laptop is designed for intensive gaming or engineering tasks, but the Acer's screen aspect ratio of 16:10 provides more vertical space, which can be advantageous for productivity. The ASUS, on the other hand, has a standard 16:9 aspect ratio, which is more common for multimedia content. Consider the Acer for a better screen experience and if you prefer a Windows 11 Home environment, while the ASUS could be the choice if you prioritize more internal storage and a potentially more robust build quality. Business Today

Danny D'Cruze | March 2023
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
