The Acer Aspire 5 17 is significantly less expensive and offers decent general use performance, long battery life, a larger screen, and a full number pad on the keyboard, making it suitable for everyday tasks and productivity on a budget. On the other hand, the Razer Blade 15, while more expensive, delivers much higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, engineering tasks, and intensive gaming, thanks to a more powerful processor, superior graphics card, and better screen with a higher refresh rate, which is crucial for gaming but also beneficial for any motion-intensive activities. It is also more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller dimensions, despite having a slightly lower battery life than the Acer. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is only fair.
The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design use due to its powerful Intel i7 processor, double the RAM, and high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics, which significantly outperform the fair-rated Acer Aspire 5 17's Intel i5 processor, half the RAM, and integrated graphics. Moreover, the Razer Blade 15's superior screen quality with a higher resolution and color coverage ensures more detailed and accurate visual representations, offsetting its somewhat lower portability and operating noise when compared to the lighter and quieter Acer Aspire 5 17.

The Razer Blade 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 5 17's screen may offer sufficient brightness and resolution for daily tasks and some design work but may lack the advanced color range professionals require for precise color work. Meanwhile, the Razer Blade 15's display likely provides vibrant colors and sharp details beneficial for both everyday users and engineers or designers who need accurate color representation. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite good resolution and panel quality, both laptops' screens fall short as they might not support the high refresh rates needed for smooth motion rendering in fast-paced environments.

"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
