The Acer Aspire 5 17 offers a larger screen and lighter weight, which could make it more suitable for casual use and productivity tasks, especially with its lower price. However, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" delivers significantly better performance due to a more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card, making it ideal for gaming, 3D applications, and intensive engineering software. While the Lenovo is a bit heavier and may have a shorter battery life due to its higher performance parts, it also has superior build quality and screen resolution, providing a sharper display and a more durable design. If you prioritize performance over size and cost, the Lenovo is the better choice; otherwise, for everyday tasks that don't require intense graphics or computing power, the Acer could serve well and save you money. How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
