The Acer Aspire 5 17 is significantly less expensive and offers a larger screen, but it has less storage and memory, a less powerful processor and graphics, and lower performance for demanding tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning. The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is much pricier but provides superior specs for performance-intensive applications, double the storage, better graphics, and a much higher refresh rate display suitable for intense gaming. The Aorus, however, is heavier and may have shorter battery life. Choose the Acer for general use and the Gigabyte if you need high performance for gaming or professional work. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general computing tasks, both the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15P offer suitable screens with ample resolution and brightness, ensuring clear visibility and readability for daily activities like web browsing, office work, and video streaming. When it comes to engineering and design, the Gigabyte Aorus 15P’s display covers a wider range of colors, which is crucial for professionals requiring color accuracy, but the Acer Aspire 5 17 may not meet these high standards. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their good resolutions, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, leading to less fluid motion and potentially less immersive experiences in fast-paced environments.

How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15P compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
