If you're looking to save money and prioritize a larger screen for easier viewing or multitasking, the Acer Aspire 5 17 could be a good choice. However, if portability and the versatility of a 2-in-1 form factor are important to you, along with better build quality, you may find the Dell Latitude 5330 more suitable despite its higher cost. Keep in mind that for demanding tasks like 3D rendering or heavy multitasking, investing in a higher-performance laptop may be worthwhile. Consider battery life as well; frequent travelers might benefit from the longer battery life often found in more premium models like the Dell. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Dell Latitude 5330 have similar screen quality.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 5 17 and Dell Latitude 5330 2-in-1 provide adequate visuals with resolutions and brightness levels that are sufficient for tasks like browsing and productivity applications, but they may lack the crispness and vibrance of higher-end displays. When it comes to engineering and design, the fair screen quality suggests they might not cover the wider color gamuts required for precision work, possibly leading to less accurate color representation. As for gaming and 3D applications, their lower refresh rates can result in less fluid motion and responsiveness, which is less optimal for fast-paced visual content.

The Acer Aspire 5 17, with its GPU, can handle games and 3D applications adequately but might not provide the smoothest experience due to an average screen refresh rate, which is more critical for fast-paced visuals. On the other hand, the Dell Latitude 5330 2-in-1 offers similar capabilities with its GPU and screen refresh rate, but its higher-end CPU and screen quality enhancements could deliver a slightly better gaming and 3D experience, albeit at a typically higher price point and with less emphasis on gaming compared to more specialized gaming laptops.

The Dell Latitude 5330 2-in-1, with a stronger CPU, more RAM, and a higher-quality GPU, will handle demanding engineering software more smoothly than the Acer Aspire 5 17, which may lag behind in these intensive tasks. Although the Aspire offers a larger screen for detailed work, the Latitude excels with a more crisp display and the added advantages of being more portable, having a superior keyboard, and running quieter, which might justify its typically higher price.

How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Dell Latitude 5330 2-in-1 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
