If you need a laptop with a larger screen and don't mind a slightly heavier device, the Acer Aspire 5 17" could be suitable, with a number pad on the keyboard and a good price point for general use. If portability is more important and you can benefit from more onboard memory for tasks like photo editing or multitasking, the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 with a 16" screen and touch capability offers a better option, along with a battery life that's slightly longer. Both laptops are similarly priced and have sufficient power for everyday tasks and light engineering work, but neither is ideal for intensive gaming or complex 3D rendering. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 17 for content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 and Dell Inspiron 16 5625, with their respective screen resolutions and panel types, provide adequate clarity and color for daily tasks like browsing and watching videos, but they lack the higher resolutions and superior panel technologies found in premium models. For engineering and design professionals, the color accuracy is critical; while these laptops may suffice for less demanding tasks, they do not cover the wide color gamuts necessary for precision work. In the realm of gaming and 3D applications where motion clarity is key, the lower refresh rates of these screens lead to less fluid motion and a less immersive experience compared to displays with higher refresh rates.

How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
