The Acer Aspire 5 17 is more affordable and offers respectable general performance with a large screen, suitable for everyday tasks and some light media editing. Its battery life is decent, and it's relatively lightweight for its size, which is a plus for portability. In contrast, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is pricier but comes with powerful components for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It also boasts a high-quality OLED touchscreen with vivid colors, making it suitable for creative professionals. However, it is heavier and the added performance may translate to shorter battery life compared to lighter-use laptops. Give Feedback

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is very good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is good.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 is satisfactory for general use given its decent CPU and RAM, 17.3-inch IPS display, and lighter weight making it fairly portable, but its average battery life and moderate screen quality are overshone by the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15, which, despite being less portable, offers a powerful CPU and abundant RAM, a high-resolution OLED touchscreen, and an extended battery life, all of which makes it more versatile and suitable for a wider range of tasks.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is only fair.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 offers superior gaming and 3D performance due to its high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and OLED screen with high resolution, compared to the Acer Aspire 5 17's modest Intel Iris Xe graphics and standard IPS display. While both laptops have a similar screen refresh rate, the ASUS's better GPU and screen quality provide a more immersive and smooth gaming experience.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 5 17 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 offers satisfactory performance for engineering and design tasks with its fair CPU, adequate RAM, and integrated graphics, paired with a standard IPS screen; however, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 excels in these areas with a more powerful CPU, significantly more RAM, a higher-end GPU, and a superior OLED screen, delivering enhanced processing power and visuals essential for complex tasks. While the Acer Aspire is lighter and thus more portable, the ASUS packs in professional-grade hardware and better screen quality at the expense of greater weight and reduced portability.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 provides a basic display that is adequate for everyday tasks and productivity applications, with enough resolution and brightness for comfortable viewing, but it lacks the wider color gamut and higher refresh rates sought after by design professionals and gamers. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15, with its superior color accuracy and range, caters to engineers and designers who need to work with color-critical applications, offering a vibrant and detailed visual experience. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to motion blur and less fluid visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us."
