The Acer Aspire 5 17 is priced higher but offers a larger screen, more storage, and has a backlit keyboard with a number pad. It's heavier, making it less portable than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14, which is less expensive, more portable, and includes a fingerprint reader. The Acer's processor and integrated graphics cater to better general performance, whereas ASUS provides decent performance for its budget-friendly price. Neither model is suited for intensive gaming. If you need a laptop for everyday tasks and prefer a larger screen and keypad, the Acer might suit you well; if portability and savings are key, consider the ASUS. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 5 17 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 5 17 and ASUS Vivobook Go 14 offer screens that are adequate in terms of resolution and brightness, but may not impress with their panel technology. When it comes to engineering and design, these laptops may fall short for professionals as they lack the wide color gamuts needed to accurately display a broad spectrum of colors. How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
