The Acer Aspire 5 17 has a larger 17.3-inch screen for those preferring a bigger display for work or media, but it is heavier, lessening its portability. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is lighter with a more compact 15.6-inch screen, making it easier to carry around. The Vero 15 also has a more powerful main processor and double the RAM for more demanding tasks like photo and video editing or multitasking. Both laptops have the same storage capacity and are similarly priced, so your decision may hinge on whether you prioritize screen size and casual use over portability and performance. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Acer Aspire Vero 15 have similar screen quality.
For general use, both the Aspire 5 17 and Aspire Vero 15 offer displays with adequate resolution and brightness, but they don't stand out in terms of exceptional clarity or vibrancy, which is less critical for basic tasks like web browsing or document editing. During engineering and design work, accurate color reproduction is crucial, and while these Acer models provide fair screen quality, professionals may find the color gamuts lacking for precision work that requires a wide color range and high fidelity. When it comes to 3D and gaming, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion, while the resolution and panel type offer sufficient quality for moderate gaming, but not for the high-performance or competitive gaming experience.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are both good for general use.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 offers a large screen, making it suitable for users prioritizing a bigger display for multitasking and media consumption, despite being less portable due to its size and weight. Conversely, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 features a more powerful CPU and extra RAM, enhancing performance for more demanding applications, while also being more portable and having a better-quality keyboard, albeit with a slightly smaller screen and lower battery capacity.

The Acer Aspire 5 17 and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Aspire 5 17 and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are both fair for gaming and 3D tasks, mainly because they feature integrated graphics with Intel Iris Xe, which provides moderate performance suitable for less intensive gaming, but they may struggle with high-end games or complex 3D applications due to the limited capabilities of the integrated GPU compared to dedicated gaming GPUs. Additionally, their 60Hz screen refresh rate is standard for productivity, but not ideal for fast-paced games where higher refresh rates can offer smoother visuals. Both models have IPS screens for good color reproduction, but hardcore gamers or professional 3D designers might find that the screen refresh rate and graphics capability isn't up to their demanding requirements.

How the Acer Aspire 5 17 and the Acer Aspire Vero 15 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
