If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with adequate performance for everyday tasks like browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the Acer Aspire 5 15 would suit your needs and save you money. The MSI Stealth GS66 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 5 15 is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS66 provides a better gaming and 3D experience in contrast to the Acer Aspire 5 15, primarily due to its superior Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 360Hz compared to the Aspire's Intel Iris Xe and 60Hz refresh rate. While both laptops have similar CPU and screen quality, these factors play a less significant role in comparison to the GPU and refresh rate differences that are crucial for smooth gameplay and rendering 3D graphics.

The MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 5 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 5 15, with a fair display, offers enough resolution and brightness suitable for everyday tasks such as browsing and video streaming, but it lacks the wide color gamut necessary for precise color work required in engineering and design, and its lower refresh rate is not ideal for the smooth visuals demanded in gaming and 3D applications. The MSI Stealth GS66's good screen quality provides clear and vibrant visuals for both general use and the detailed work involved in engineering and design, thanks to better color accuracy and brightness, yet it falls short for gaming and 3D because it doesn't offer the high refresh rates that provide fluid motion. Those interested in gaming and 3D applications should consider a laptop with a screen that combines high refresh rates with good resolution and panel quality for an optimal visual experience.

How the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
