The Acer Aspire 5 is more budget-friendly and weighs less, making it more suitable for general use and portability. It also has a solid battery life, but with an integrated graphics chip, it isn't ideal for heavy gaming or engineering software. The Lenovo Legion 5, on the other hand, is priced higher primarily due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card that make it better for intense gaming, graphically-demanding tasks, and engineering applications. However, it's heavier with a bulkier frame, which could make it less convenient to carry around. If your work or hobbies involve graphic design or gaming, and you don't mind spending more while sacrificing some portability, go for the Legion. If you're looking for something more affordable and easy to carry for everyday tasks, the Aspire might be the better option for you. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | November 2022
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."

Andreas Osthoff | September 2021
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
