Choosing between the Acer Aspire 5 15" and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17", consider that the Acer has a more powerful Intel processor which can handle intensive tasks better, and more RAM for multitasking. However, the Lenovo has a larger screen and may offer better visuals with a more spacious display, which can be beneficial for multimedia consumption and productivity. The Lenovo also has a dedicated numeric keypad due to its larger size. The Acer, being smaller and lighter, is more portable. If you highly value portability and performance, the Acer might suit you better, whereas if you prefer a larger screen and don't mind a bit extra weight, the Lenovo could be the better choice. Both have similar storage capacity and are equipped with modern features such as Windows 11 Home, but the Acer has an advantage with a slightly newer release date, which could mean more recent technology and longer support. How the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
