The Acer Aspire 5 15 offers slightly better cost efficiency and is more lightweight and portable than the Gigabyte A5, which may be important if you travel frequently or carry your laptop around a lot. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A5 has superior graphics capabilities due to its Nvidia RTX 3060, making it more suitable for gaming or graphics-intensive tasks. Additionally, the Gigabyte A5 features a higher refresh rate screen, which can provide smoother visuals. However, this also makes the Gigabyte A5 heavier and potentially more expensive. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte A5 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 5 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 5 15, equipped with an Intel processor and integrated graphics, provides balanced performance for engineering and design thanks to its sharp screen and high-quality display colors, but could lag in graphically intensive applications compared to the Gigabyte A5, which boasts a stronger AMD processor and dedicated Nvidia graphics for more demanding tasks, at the cost of being slightly heavier and having marginally lower battery life. Both laptops offer good portability and keyboard quality, yet the Gigabyte A5's edge in gaming suggests it might cater better to aspects of engineering and design that require more robust graphics handling.

The Acer Aspire 5 15 has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for software development, while the Gigabyte A5 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
Based on your criteria, the Acer Aspire 5 15’s screen might not be as sharp or vibrant due to limited resolution and brightness, making it adequate for everyday tasks but less ideal for detail-oriented work or entertainment. The Gigabyte A5, with better resolution and brightness, offers a clearer and more pleasing visual experience for both general use and demanding engineering applications, but still falls short for gaming and 3D because it lacks a high refresh rate. Although both laptops may disappoint hardcore gamers or professionals in 3D fields, they cater well to users focused on general productivity and engineering design who prioritize visual accuracy over motion smoothness.

How the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
