To decide between the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14, consider your primary needs. The Acer Aspire is generally more affordable and offers a larger screen, making it an excellent choice for everyday tasks and those who prefer more screen real estate for work or entertainment. Its larger size, however, may make it less portable than the ASUS Vivobook Pro, which is typically more compact and lightweight. The Vivobook Pro might be better for those who need added horsepower for tasks like video editing or gaming, often featuring better graphics and a higher-quality display. The smaller screen size might also mean a more portable option perfect for on-the-go users. Battery life is a consideration as well; a larger laptop like the Acer might have room for a bigger battery, but efficiency improvements in the ASUS could offset that. Check the battery life estimates to understand which will last longer between charges. Remember, higher performance in the ASUS could also mean a higher price and reduced battery life compared to the Acer, so weigh which aspects—cost, performance, battery life, or portability—are most crucial for you. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | November 2022
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | July 2022
"The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is a Pantone Validated laptop that packs a lot of processing power. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED's highlight is its outstanding display: Featuring a 3K resolution in the 16:10 format and nearly a 100% coverage of the Display P3 color space, the display hardly leaves anything to be desired. The Asus laptop also shows impeccable rates in terms of general system performance. Combined with long battery life, low noise emissions, and relatively good speakers, the laptop can be recommended to users who can accept compromises in terms of connectivity."
