For everyday tasks, the Acer Aspire 5 15 is a cost-effective choice with a decent performance, ample storage, and a good quality screen. It's also lightweight and has a long battery life, making it highly portable for on-the-go use. However, it's not designed for gaming or intensive tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning due to its less powerful processor and lack of a dedicated GPU. On the other hand, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D is a powerhouse suitable for demanding tasks, including gaming, 3D modeling, and machine learning, thanks to its high-end processor and top-tier Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU. The higher resolution screen with superior color accuracy and refresh rate is excellent for both work and play, especially for those who need a high-quality visual experience. It's less portable due to its size and weight, and the battery life is shorter, but if performance and screen quality are your priorities, especially for gaming or professional engineering work, the Asus is the way to go. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | November 2022
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
