The Acer Aspire 5 with its lower price is more budget-friendly and still offers suitable performance for general use, with decent battery life and portability. If your work involves engineering, 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar packs more power for those intensive tasks, but it comes with a higher price tag and is less portable due to its additional weight. The ASUS also provides better graphics capabilities, making it suitable for high-end gaming or video editing. You should consider the Acer for everyday use and the ASUS for performance-demanding applications, keeping in mind the cost and portability differences. Give Feedback

How the Acer Aspire 5 15 and the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
