Considering your preference for a budget-friendly option, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 may be an appealing choice due to its significantly lower price compared to the MSI Thin GF63. If you're focused on everyday tasks and appreciate versatility, the Acer also offers a 2-in-1 convertible feature, allowing it to be used as both a laptop and a tablet. However, if you need higher performance for tasks like gaming, 3D rendering or machine learning, the MSI Thin GF63, despite being more expensive, provides a more powerful Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX graphics. Note that the MSI will also be heavier and might not have as long battery life as the lighter, fanless Acer. The choice would depend on whether you prioritize cost and versatility or performance and graphics capabilities. Give Feedback

The MSI Thin GF63 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The MSI Thin GF63 provides a better gaming and 3D experience mainly due to its dedicated Nvidia RTX GPU and higher screen refresh rate, which are very important for these tasks, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 just has integrated graphics and a standard refresh rate. Although the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14's silent, fanless operation is appealing, the MSI's superior GPU and fast refresh rate screen make it more suitable for demanding gaming and 3D applications.

The MSI Thin GF63 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and MSI Thin GF63 have screens that are adequate in resolution and brightness, offering a comfortable viewing experience for tasks like browsing and video streaming. However, for engineering and design purposes, these laptops fall short in delivering the wide color gamuts needed to accurately represent colors in professional work, limiting their effectiveness for color-critical tasks. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the lower refresh rates on both laptops mean less smooth visuals, which can diminish the overall experience in fast-paced scenarios and detailed graphics work.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the MSI Thin GF63 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
