The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 may be a better choice if you prioritize value and versatility, as it offers tablet mode flexibility and is easier on the wallet; however, expect moderate performance suitable for everyday tasks. The MSI Raider GE67Hx, while more expensive, delivers powerful performance tailored for demanding applications such as gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering software but is less portable and has a shorter battery life. Assess your needs and choose accordingly: cost and convenience with the Acer, or high performance with the MSI, accepting the higher cost and reduced mobility. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE67Hx has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 provides adequate resolution and brightness for comfortable viewing, but may not be as vibrant or sharp as higher-end screens. The MSI Raider GE67Hx offers a higher resolution and brightness, leading to clearer, more vivid images, which is particularly beneficial for intricate engineering and design tasks where detail and color accuracy are crucial. For gaming and 3D applications, despite their excellent resolutions and panel types, both models fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenes.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"If you've wanted to dip your toes into PC gaming but can't let go of your console roots, the MSI Raider GE67 HX stakes out an attractive middle ground between the speed and versatility of PC gaming and the comfort and ease of a console. If you can overlook its noisy fans and chintzy touchpad, the Raider provides a powerhouse entertainment experience with an OLED screen that tops most household TVs. It's not cheap, but this gaming machine is more than the sum of its parts."
