If you need a laptop that's easy to carry around and are working on a tight budget, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 might be suitable for you with its longer battery life and more compact design, at the cost of smaller storage capacity and less powerful performance. On the other hand, the MSI Bravo 15, while more expensive, offers a major boost in performance, particularly for gaming, 3D, and machine learning applications, thanks to its dedicated graphics card and a larger screen with a higher refresh rate, but this also comes with heavier weight and shorter battery life. The MSI Bravo 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The MSI Bravo 15 is better for gaming and 3D applications because it features an Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, offering smoother visuals and better performance for fast-paced action compared to the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14's Intel i3-N305 UHD Graphics Xe and 60Hz screen. While the Acer Aspire might handle less demanding games, serious gaming enthusiasts will benefit from the MSI Bravo 15's superior GPU and refresh rate.

The MSI Bravo 15 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is less suitable for engineering and design due to its lower-tier CPU and integrated graphics, which may struggle with resource-intensive software, while the MSI Bravo 15’s higher-end AMD Ryzen CPU and dedicated Nvidia graphics are better equipped to handle demanding engineering tasks and complex designs.

The MSI Bravo 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14's screen provides adequate clarity and brightness for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos, but it may lack the resolution and panel quality for more vibrant and sharp visuals that the MSI Bravo 15 offers. In engineering and design, where precise color representation matters, the MSI Bravo 15's screen may be sufficient, but neither it nor the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 likely meet the high color gamut standards required for professional work. When it comes to 3D applications and gaming, both the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and MSI Bravo 15 fall short, with the former not having a high enough refresh rate for smooth motion, and although the MSI might offer a better experience, its screen still may not be optimal for fast-paced visual rendering.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the MSI Bravo 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"Overall, the MSI Bravo 15 C7U is a great gaming device for the masses that isn’t too pricey. The capable hardware (for the price range), the 144Hz display, and the comfortable keyboard are one of the things that should attract buyers who don’t want to spend a fortune on a new gaming laptop."
