The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14's screen suffices for everyday tasks due to acceptable brightness and resolution, but lackluster color coverage hampers its utility for precision engineering and design work. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 excels in display clarity and color accuracy, making it ideal for professionals requiring fine detail and color fidelity. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short as their screens don't support the high refresh rates that can significantly enhance the visual experience in fast-paced scenarios.

"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
