For general use, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i offers a superior experience with its high-resolution Mini LED display, powerful processor, and dedicated Nvidia GPU, which also makes it suitable for gaming and machine learning tasks. However, it comes at a significantly higher price point. The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, while more budget-friendly, has a less powerful processor and integrated graphics, limiting its performance for demanding tasks. It's also fanless, which means quieter operation but potentially less cooling for intensive workloads. The Acer is more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller size, making it a good choice for everyday tasks and mobility. If you prioritize performance and display quality for creative work or gaming, the Lenovo is the better choice, but if you're looking for a versatile, portable device for everyday use without breaking the bank, the Acer is a solid option. Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
