The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is more budget-friendly and lightweight. It would suit general use and its fanless operation makes it silent, which some may find beneficial. However, it has lower storage capacity, less RAM, and a less powerful processor and graphics unit, which limits its performance for more intensive tasks like 3D rendering, engineering software, or gaming. The Lenovo ThinkPad P16, on the other hand, is a midrange device with superior performance due to its better processor, graphics, more RAM, and higher resolution display. It's ideal for engineering tasks and creative work, but it's heavier and less portable. It also offers a higher-quality build, keyboard, and speakers. If portability and price are key, consider the Acer; if performance and a high-quality build are priorities, the Lenovo would be suitable despite its higher cost and weight. Give Feedback

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
