The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, and content creation.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" offer adequate screen resolution and brightness, but they may lack the clarity and vibrancy found in higher-end displays. When it comes to engineering and design, these models may fall short in reproducing precise colors due to limited coverage of professional color gamuts, making them less ideal for tasks that require color accuracy. In the realm of gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates on these laptops can lead to less smooth visuals, which is a disadvantage compared to laptops with screens designed for fast-paced content.

The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 provides a balance with its flexible design suitable for general use, offering adequate processing power and memory for everyday tasks, along with a touch screen for convenience, but it may fall short in terms of battery life and weight for on-the-go users. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" delivers decent performance with enough processing speed and memory for typical use, has a solid build, but also struggles with less-than-ideal screen quality and shorter battery life, making it less optimal for extended mobile use or for those who prioritize visual clarity.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" are considered fair for gaming and 3D because they both feature integrated GPUs—Intel UHD Graphics Xe and AMD Vega 7, respectively—which offer moderate graphics performance suitable for light gaming, but not high-end games that require more powerful, dedicated graphics cards. Additionally, both have standard 60Hz refresh rates and IPS panel types with fair screen quality, which can handle general visual tasks well, but may not provide the ultra-smooth visuals or color accuracy preferred by hardcore gamers and professionals in 3D graphics.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The low-priced IdeaPad 3 14 delivers on core functionality. Lenovo's IdeaPad 3 14 meets all the basic requirements for an inexpensive office laptop. The matte IPS display is bright enough, the performance is high for the class, and the input devices are rock solid. In addition, the mostly quiet operation including the useful performance modes, cool surface temperatures, easy maintainability as well as expandable working and mass storage all contribute to the IdeaPad 3 14's value proposition."
