If you prioritize saving money and need a computer for everyday tasks like browsing, watching videos or working with documents, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, being less expensive, might be a better choice. On the other hand, if you require a laptop with higher performance for tasks such as engineering software, 3D modeling, or gaming, the Dell Inspiron 16 5630, despite its higher cost, offers stronger processing capabilities. Consider also that larger laptops, like the Dell with a 16-inch screen, can be less portable than smaller ones like the 14-inch Acer; additionally, larger screens may drain the battery faster. Choose the Acer if portability, versatility with a 2-in-1 design, and price are top concerns; opt for the Dell if work demands and screen size take precedence. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, with its modest GPU, may not provide the smoothest gaming and 3D experience, as it may struggle with higher-end games or intensive 3D applications, though its convertible design offers versatility for general use. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 16 5630, while also not designed for hardcore gaming, typically offers a stronger CPU and a larger screen, improving the overall experience, but it's less portable due to its size.

The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for engineering and design use because it has a more powerful processor, double the memory and the storage capacity, which allows for better handling of complex tasks and software typical of these fields. Additionally, while both have quality IPS displays with the same resolution, the Dell's screen is larger and offers higher brightness and color coverage, making it more suited for detailed visual work, despite being less portable and heavier than the Acer.

The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 provides adequate screen sharpness and brightness for activities like browsing and watching videos, making it suitable for general use, but its limited color range and refresh rate may not suffice for the demands of engineering software or the high frame rates needed for smooth gaming and 3D rendering. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 offers a higher level of color accuracy and brightness, enhancing the precision required for engineering and design tasks, but like the Acer, it doesn't cater to the high refresh rate desirable for gaming and 3D applications, which can affect the fluidity and immersion of visual experiences. Customers should weigh these differences, considering whether their priority lies in image precision for professional applications or the smooth visual performance characteristic of gaming and 3D work.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
