If budget is a primary concern and basic tasks such as web browsing, office applications, and video streaming are your main uses, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 could be the right choice for you. It is generally less expensive, lighter, and quieter because it does not have fans, making it quite portable. However, if you require a powerful laptop for tasks like 3D rendering, video editing, or gaming, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 provides a much more robust performance due to its high-end processor and graphics card, larger storage, and significantly higher RAM. The ZenBook Pro Duo also has a superior display with higher resolution and better color coverage, which could be advantageous for creative work, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life which impacts its portability. Keep in mind the ZenBook Pro Duo is often significantly more expensive. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire's average resolution and brightness allow for comfortable viewing, but the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo's higher resolution and brightness offer a crisper and more vibrant display. When it comes to engineering and design tasks, the ZenBook Pro's wider color gamuts provide more accurate color representation, which is essential for detailed work, while the Aspire 3 Spin's color range is more limited. However, both laptops have screens with lower refresh rates, meaning that for fast-paced 3D applications and gaming, neither can provide the smoother motion that dedicated gaming laptops would offer.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us."
